Psychiatrist - Telepsychiatry

Adult Psychiatrist or Adult Psychiatrist, who can also see Children

​

PMPI has Full-time position available for a BE/BC Adult Psychiatrist, Licensed in CALIFORNIA for Outpatient work.

Involves TELE-PSYCHIATRY. You can practice from your current State of Residence. Candidate needs to be computer savvy, as all records are Electronic. Having worked in more than one EMR is a plus.

You will be providing care to patients remotely in co-ordination with a Tele-Coordinator.

 

There is no on-call. This is a high-income potential, a low-stress job with consistent hours. Group now has 53 Providers. We provide services at 82 sites all over CA.

You will see routine SMI (severely and persistently mentally ill) Psychiatric patients of DMH (Dept of Mental Health) or Mild-Moderate CHC (Community Health Center - integrated with Primary Care), or a mix of both. Patient diagnosis range from Schizophrenia, Bipolar Mood D/O, Anxiety Disorders, to Refractory Depressive D/O, Schizoaffective Disorder.

 

Our current Providers decide and allocate two - 4 hour slots in an 8-hour workday. So you can work up to 8 hours each weekday (flexible) up to 40 hours a week. Most of the work is on weekdays M-F and a rare clinics open up to 10 hrs a day and Saturdays.

 

Responsibilities:

Provides psychiatric medical services including initial evaluation and perform appropriate follow-up on patient’s issues as indicated. Write prescription orders via e-prescribe. Respond to messages and forms in a timely manner via EMR/EHR. Be flexible for cross-coverage during other providers time off.

Requirements:

The ability to interact compassionately with a diverse patient population and work with at least one or more Tele-coordinator staff. Have outpatient experience. Must be CA Licensed, with DEA certificate, in good standing with the State of California, and other States, and Past Practices. Credentialing may take 60-90 days.

 

Salary

Hourly in DMH and some CHC's - Range is from $ 170 to $185 an hour. Board Certified Psychiatrists are paid a higher rate, as are Sub-specialized Psychiatrists, and those with Spanish.

Per Patient in CHC's - Seeing patients anywhere from 2-4 in an hour you can range between $ 130 - $ 260 for the hour, depending on how many patients you are able to see (Productivity based). In this model we have a guaranteed payment agreements with clinics where income is not dependent on delayed billing or collection.

Most of our current Psychiatrists are doing per-diem work with us (1099). Most of our Psychiatrists have their own health insurance. We will provide malpractice insurance coverage for applicants, CA license and DEA license reimbursements spread over the first year of contract
